Marketing Intern
Would you like to gain hands-on marketing experience while immersing yourself in the world of active travel? At Boat Bike Tours, you will work in an international team in Amsterdam and help us increase awareness of our boat and bike tours in the German-speaking market and beyond.
During your internship, you will gain experience across different areas of marketing and contribute to real projects from day one.
Your responsibilities
- Create and publish content for our website, newsletters and social media channels in three languages: German, English and Dutch. You will see first-hand how international marketing communication works in practice.
- Help us tailor our content and channels to different markets, as we continuously work to make our communication more personal and locally relevant.
- Use AI as a practical tool in your daily work, for example for content creation, translation and research, and learn how to apply AI effectively in marketing.
- Build newsletter campaigns in our email marketing tool, from setting up the template to sending the final campaign.
- Maintain and expand our WordPress pages, including tour pages, landing pages, blog articles and visual content.
- Create and schedule social media posts and ads for Facebook and Instagram.
- Support our image and media management and help ensure that our tours are presented at their best visually.
- Assist with content archiving and help keep our channels up to date and consistent.
- Depending on your interests and current projects, contribute your own ideas, for example for new campaign concepts, creative formats or the further development of our marketing strategy.
What you bring
- You are studying at a university of applied sciences, college or university, ideally in marketing, tourism, communications or a related field.
- You have an excellent command of German and can communicate well in English.
- You enjoy writing and have a strong feel for language and different target audiences.
- You work independently, accurately and responsibly.
- You enjoy contributing your own ideas and trying new things.
- You like working as part of a team and are interested in travel and digital marketing.
- Some initial experience with content creation, social media, SEO or analytics tools is welcome but not required.
